What is corporate logistics
The concept of corporate logistics refers to all logistics activities of a company. These activities cover all intra-company and inter-company logistics services. These include in-house logistics services for manufacturing and transportation and distribution of manufactured products.
Meaning of the term
The concept of “Logistics” in business economics describes the planning, management, implementation and control of the physical flow of goods and information flow covering the entire added value chain of a company.
Logistics tasks arise in principle in every company, regardless of sector. Corporate logistics is used as an umbrella term here and covers all the logistics needs of the relevant company. In addition, companies operating in the logistics sector specialize in the physical flow of goods and undertake the physical flow of goods and related tasks, especially the transportation of goods, as service providers on behalf of other companies.
